This implies that from the Academic Year 2006 - 2007 students of the FVG are able to take courses at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel like "Philosophy and Criticism of Religion", "Ethics", and "Contemporary Cultural Philosophy".
Students in the field of Philosophy and Moral Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel will be able to take courses offered by the FVG: "Introduction to Islam", "Introduction to Buddhism", "Introduction to Christianity", "Introduction to Hinduism", and "Introduction to Jewish Law".
Thanks to this agreement also other forms of collaboration will be stressed concerning the "Library Collection", "The FVG-Study Group on S. Kierkegaard", "The Journal Acta Comparanda", etc..
The Vrije Universiteit Brussel will offer for example: Educational Reform, Quality Control, the Infrastructure, and Social Provision.
For the FVG which was founded and recognized by Royal Decree in 1980 this framework agreement means an important step.
The Antwerp based FVG insists that religions can only be taught by scholars practising and committed to the religion they are teaching. This is the best guarantee for objectivity, equivalence and accuracy. It is in that view evident that both Institutions have found each other to sign this agreement.
